Dearest, Darlingest Readers

Elizabeth Moore

Hi friend! Welcome to the Hope and Wholeness community!

I am so excited to have you in this sweet circle of readers. When I rebranded my blog, Hope and Wholeness, I envisioned this: a small group of subscribers, whose names I knew, with faces I can picture around a campfire. And here you are!

In past blogging days, I posted all blogs to Facebook. Not only was this completely terrifying, but I also had no clue who I was writing to. It was like sticking wildflowers into a cannon and hoping they each got into the right hands. Possible, colorful, but not ideal.

So, as I move into a new season with Hope and Wholeness, I’m writing to my subscribers. You kind people who were either curious enough or loved me enough to send me your email address. Now, when I write on Hope and Wholeness, I’m writing to you.

Obviously this group is not exclusive. I love seeing new names and faces pour in here over time. But I imagine we will stay pretty small. That’s how I like it.

This lavender and yellow corner of the Internet is my happy place. There will probably be grammar mistakes, weird made-up words, jokes that make me think I’m hilarious, the usual. If you’re good with that, great! If not, get out while you still can.

If you’re in, then stay awhile! Feel free to browse the website. I, personally, think it’s a blast. Better than Disney World. The primary page of Hope and Wholeness is the blog. I’ll frequently share stories, thoughts, struggles and truth. There’s also a “Bookshelf” page where you can see what I’ve just finished reading and what I’m currently reading. I kind of obsessed with this page and think I’m brilliant for thinking of it. In my head I’m dancing on a rolling step ladder like Belle. If you like talking about books, I’m your girl!

For my actual job, I’m working with an upcoming author on her book writing process, and I contribute to other online and print publications as well. Even though I absolutely love doing all of that, Hope and Wholeness is where I come to be me. To have no pressure. To talk about Jesus. To lay it all out there and not worry about sentence structure or word count or appealing to the masses. (I am NOT a grammar prescriptivist btw so if you are then bye.)

Blog posts will probably be sporadic, but I don’t mind if you don’t. I’m currently in a giant life-transition called my twenties, and I don’t have some things figured out—like a writing schedule. Maybe in my thirties… (shuddering at how old that sounds).

On Hope and Wholeness, I’m me. And you’re you. And you’ve done a brave thing by subscribing to these words.

If I haven’t said it enough. I’m glad you’re here. I’m glad you’re part of this community. And I would love to hear from you! Feel free to blow up the comments on these blogs or head over the the “Connect” page and write me a message.

Thank you for being here. I love you already.
